So far I have only let Faith have over one friend at a time to sleep over. I think one or two friends is more than enough for a sleepover. I am NOT into the "invite everyone so no one feels left out." My kid has a best friend. If your kid not her best friend help her deal with it. Life is full of disapointments. Maybe I am harsh, but I also know my limits. I could not handle more than 3 extra girls in my house at a time! :)Rachel https://www.blogger.com/profile/12724352927602251380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30570568.post-45206530084390854752009-04-07T07:56:00.000-06:002009-04-07T07:56:00.000-06:00Wow, 13 6 year olds for a slumber party? Not me. Not wanting to be a total birthday-bah-humbug, my kids were allowed big parties every 5 years. Other years we had a few friends over.

It does seem as though things are happening earlier and earlier. I wouldn't have thought of a sleepover for 6-year-olds when my daughter was little. I guess it depends on the girls and how well they do away from mom and dad overnight.

Great photos, by the way :-)Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13256552315634307734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30570568.post-83363022512611206562009-04-05T15:48:00.000-06:002009-04-05T15:48:00.000-06:00You and Savannah are too cute! You and Savannah are too cute!jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08307012176653521496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30570568.post-82044459194218172022009-04-05T15:06:00.000-06:002009-04-05T15:06:00.000-06:0013 Kids...Holy Hannah! I mean, I don't think I started until 5th grade--4th at the very earliest. Certainly old enough that my parents didn't have to worry about a middle of the night phone call because I was too scared to stay.

One thing I did when my dtr was 5 was a 1/2 sleep over. They wear their pajammies over at about 4 p.m., and by 7 or 8, they are ready for pick up. Still the dancing and bling-bling, and tomfoolery, without the sleeping woes. Also made a gift for my dtr very clear: new pjs. ;)

Again, as I rock in my chair, I wonder what these kids will have to look forward to. The bar is being raised so high each time. Kinda sad to me. Though I'm in no way condemning your friend. I've done my share of big parties. When my kids were 1 and 2, I totally ignored the standard (one kid per year) and invited all our family and chosen family over for BBQs and the like. Whatever works.Gretchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02576409086020993015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30570568.post-25873838936543318202009-04-05T13:42:00.000-06:002009-04-05T13:42:00.000-06:00I think you make a lovely princess!I think you make a lovely princess!Rachellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05661641983151967750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30570568.post-61503671147329322212009-04-05T13:06:00.000-06:002009-04-05T13:06:00.000-06:00Fabulous bling bling! We stick to one or two friends at a time, and I stay awake.
