Project 365 - Week 12

Today I opened my refrigerator to get some cheese out for the red chile enchiladas that my husband adores. Then with no warning and hardly any provocation - I mean, I didn't pull on it THAT hard - this drawer came flying out and clattered onto the floor.

It's a sign, isn't it? It is positively begging to be cleaned. And it's a sign that I have only one more day to clean my fridge before the looming deadline.

The funny thing - and so relieving to me - was finding out that I'm not alone. Here I pictured all of you ceremoniously cleaning out your refrigerators every month on the dot, but apparently you are of the same mindset as me - if you can close the door on it, then it's not really dirty.

But come tomorrow, that refrigerator won't know what hit it. Good thing I set this deadline for myself, because I have pushed it to its very limits.

So pictures from this week are pretty scarce, and I hope you aren't tired of seeing nothing but Savannah, but really, I have nothing else quite this adorable as my subject.

And this here is a random picture of celery, which I ate as a snack today....

....when what I really wanted was this.

I suppose there's a reason why celery only has 5 calories per stalk, and chocolate has like 70 calories per microscopic crumb. No comparison. No fair.

You can visit Sara for more Project 365 pictures....there you will find people far more dedicated to this than I am.

So, what fun things do y'all have planned for this week? Does it involve a smackdown with your refrigerator?

Hi Jackie,

Thanks so much for coming by and commenting at The Trysting Place! I love meeting new people, especially when I get to their place and realize just how much we have in common. Very cool.

It looks like we read a lot of the same blogs, love the same Jesus, have the same fridge cleaning phobia, and the baby arms around the neck? Oh, yeah. My daughter will be a year old in April and she recently started hugging, and I can't get enough! I also love your header! So very cute!!

Thanks again!
Rachel

Oh, that dreaded fridge...you'll feel SO great when its cleaned out and done!

I've been AWFUL with Project 365. Plain awful.

I'll clean my fridge out with you in spirit. Yuck. I haven't even added that job to my to-do list.

Happy Cleaning!

I have no intentions of cleaning my fridge this week...I'm not saying it doesn't need to be done though. This week I think I be a little consumed with the whole becoming a grandma thing.

I used to clean out my fridge all the stinkin' time. Not sure when that quit. Prolly when the kids showed up. (I blame them every time I can!)

You've definitely inspired me to clean mine out and since today is garbage day, what better day to do it?! Or maybe I'll wait til next garbage day... =)

"If you can close the door on it, then it's not really dirty."

This principle applies to my closet as well. :)

my week should include a "smack-down" with the entire house! and yet...the weather is gorgeous, the girls are wanting to play and enjoy, and my husband, bless his heart, reminded me last night that the house will wait while the girlies are going to grow up far too quickly. so instead of cleaning, we went to the museum this morning! :) and you can indulge your celery AND chocolate...just melt a couple choc. chips in a tbsp of peanut butter...dip some celery in, and voila!

Your fridge looks pretty tidy to me. When I first saw the pic I thought "Oh! She cleaned!"

I can't believe how grown Savannah is looking! :(

Her face is looking more "big girl" than "baby!

But she is as cute as ever!

Celery...my dieting nemesis. I only like it if it's loaded with pimento cheese...which defeats the dieting.

Savannah gets more beautiful everyday!! Wish I were there to help with the refrigerator...looks like fun to me!

If they would make the dumb fridges a bit bigger they wouldn't be so easy to mess up...

And really. How could we get tired of little miss cutie? She's a doll.

Thanks for your comment today Jackie. Isn't it so nice to know that you are being supported and prayed for by people you've never even met? It's a rhetorical question. And my answer is most definitely yes.

All I am needing to do (not wanting to do) this week is mop my floors and clean out bathrooms. Boy how I hate to do this, but it si sooooo time! I've used spring break as a excuse for too long now!

Hehehe - "a smackdown with your refrigerator." Love it. Cleaning really is a full-contact sport!

On the agenda for this week: actually writing a blog post. :)

You won't believe this, but my father-in-law just wiped down my fridge. He visited over the weekend and was trying to be helpful! Is that amazing?!

Savannah's hair is getting so long and full...its beautiful.

I went through your top 10 list for books and ordered all the available ones from my library (I think I got 8 out of 10 or so). I'm anxious to get started when they come in. I'll let you know what I think.
