Maybe she's color-blind...???

Savannah and I, lounging on the couch, playing the Color Game:

Savannah: What color my eyes?

Me: Brown.

Savannah: Oh! Brown! Ok. What color Mama's eyes?

Me: Green.

Savannah: Ummm...what color my hair?

Me: Brown.

Savannah: (digging her finger into my mouth to force it open) What color Mama's teeth?

Me: You tell me...what color?

Savannah: Ummmmm.....ummmm....Ye-yo! (more commonly known as yellow. Yellow, ya'll).

This is precisely the moment that The Color Game came to a screeching halt as I rushed to my bathroom in search of my Crest White Strips.

Yeah.

Oh! Too funny! My kiddo, if he knew his colors and could talk, would probably say the same thing about me. It's all the Starbucks iced tea I drink. I can't help myself, I am an addict!! :)

My boys have told me this too! Too much coffee on my part! Makes one feel sort of self conscience doesn't it!

Aw that is too funny! Little people are so blunt aren't they? :)

Crest White Strips are awesome - used them before my wedding!

When The Boy was little he'd just point to my teeth and say "corn".

What's a mama to do? Promptly get her teeth whitened!

This post made me smile! I'd have to agree...she's probably just color blind:) I'd be getting the white strips out too.

Kinda reminds me of a little boy at my house who came up to me last night and said, "Mama, those spots on your legs are scratchy again! you need to shave!
Gotta love the honesty.

I love how they say 'yellow' at this age--I never correct them ;)

And I bet your teeth are blinding white hence why she is color blind ;)

Oh Savannah! She is too hilarious! I'm so glad you go through all of this first so I can be prepared. The beginning of next year I'll be stocking up on Crest White Strips before EJ can tell me my teeth are yellow!

Ahhh ... love the honesty of children. My oldest actually did this same thing when she was little. I was a little self-conscious after this. Thanks, kiddo.

They don't understand the coffee it takes to keep their world in spin!
Coffee stains on your teeth are like the battle scars of child-rearing! :)

My kids have told me that too when they were learning their colors.

I was equally mortified.

Oh, that is too funny. I've always feared my children would call my teeth yellow. So far they haven't, but they must not be looking well enough. I could seriously use some white stips myself.

Yeah...gotta love the words from the mouths of babes...

If it makes you feel better, my teeth are yellow, too. And whenever my son sees me (accidentally) in my bra and undies he shouts: "gross!"

Ah...motherhood. It's all glamour.
