It's time to party!

Welcome to my little corner of this BlogHop!

Hi! I'm Jackie, and I've been blogging for about 6 months. What started on a whim has turned into the greatest outlet and full-fledged addiction for me, and I've met some incredible people that I think of as my friends now. To get to know me a bit better you can read here why I hate answering the door, or here as I contemplate what it means to me to be intentional. I'm a SAHM and I have a sweet hubby and sassy baby girl that I love to death.

If you were here in person, I'd invite you in, hope like crazy that you would overlook my unforgivably trashed house (yay for virtual parties!), and tell you to help yourself to some food. Which would include a table of nothing but desserts. Like key lime cheesecake. Triple chocolate brownies. Blueberry nectarine cobbler. Oh, and a chocolate caramel trifle.

In addition to the sugar overload, it might also include this spinach artichoke dip. It is seriously rich and yummy. It might have something to do with all of the cream cheese and bacon in it...maybe.

Thanks for dropping by...it's been a fun Friday evening! I'd love to get to know you a little better, too, so leave me a comment and tell me a little something about yourself. I'll do my best to make the rounds myself this weekend. Thanks to Robin for hosting...go visit her and find more weekend BlogHoppers to visit.

Feel free to drop back in anytime...there will be brownies waiting for you...

Brownines? Really? It looks like you live in NM. We are heading that way tomorrow for a week in Taos. If you make all those yummies, I will stop by! :)

Can I just hang out for the brownies???

oh... i'm sorry, I stopped reading after "chocolate caramel trifle..." I was off in dream land (or at least my taste buds were!)

Nice to "meet" you and thanks for stopping by my party!

p.s. your little girl is precious!

Key Lime Cheesecake? I'm so there. And the mess? No worries, I'm totally capable of overlooking that - just take a stroll through my house. Ha! Ha!

Good to meet you. Glad you joined in the party. Also glad you brought some snacks. I provided entertainment. :D

Lurve the dip, and brownies are my faves. We'll be great friends, but I may always be a bit fat--hope you don't mind. :)

Cute intro. I sooooo relate to your front door experience. I even had a young man in my neighborhood tell me that he was expecting a baby! Just to get me to buy some magazines! Oh, and the false compliments...oy!

Oh my word, the spinach arichoke dip!! I mean I love the sweets too, but, this looks and sounds sooo good!! It's nice to meet you. I'm Peculiar (and I'm peculiar too!), or at least that's my screen name. I'm a SAHM mom, 4 kids, Christian family, loves Jesus (I guess that would be obvious since I said Christian family huh?), family, hubby, love green tea (I blog about it every Tuesday) and lots more stuff I won't bore you with. Have a great weekend.

Oh, brownies, yes please. May I have coffee to go with them?

I may have to join the party. It looks like fun.

I feel like a party crasher!

I must say though, I had not read the door answering post before and I laughed outloud. I too do not answer for strangers and most days I don't answer for friends unless they've called first! I so turn down the tv, shhhsh kids and hide out. I had one friend, actually come around and look in my back window..tsk...I would never even think of this.

Most of my girls know me well enough now, I need warning! House, clothes, etc... gimme 15 minutes to make a path, make sure everyone's undies are covered, and put on a bra!

I went and read your post on why you don't answer the door. I could have written that post! My children know to freeze when the door bell rings. I've trained them since birth! I decided a long time ago, I'm not obligated to answer my door for anyone I don't know. I know I'm southern and all, but I don't have to nice to everyone. Do I? Enjoyed your posts and your daughter is beautiful.

Hi there! Nice to meet you. I'm a little late to the party, but I hope you stop by. Your daughter is beautiful, by the way.

Thanks for coming to my bloghop party. I would love some spinach/artichoke dip and some brownies, please. Yumm!

I really enjoyed your post about not answering the door, and I agree!

I'm a bit late, hope you don't mind. Thanks for stopping by my place. That dip looks so yummy - event at 5 am.
Nice to meet you!

Jackie,

I can tell we'd be fast friends because you have a "take it or leave it" attitude when coming to having company (it's about the PEOPLE, never the PLACE). Plus, you're a dessert girl. I always say, life is short, eat dessert first! :)

Thanks for coming to the BlogHop and forgive my tardiness! I've been trying to visit all week and life keeps getting in the daggum way :).
